Aquamarine evokes the purity of crystalline waters, and the exhilaration and relaxation of the sea. The name is the Latin term for “water of the sea.” Aquamarine was once thought to be the treasure of mermaids, as well as a lucky stone for sailors.

Aquamarine is a transparent to translucent stone ranging from cerulean blue to light blue in higher grades. In lower grades it can be transparent to opaque and is commonly light blue, green and yellow with white and gray inclusions.
